Make your own shamanic drum during our workshop
Let your creativity and inner shaman come to life during our unique workshop: Make your own shamanic drum in one day! Together with up to 14 others, you will receive personal guidance to create your ideal drum. You have a choice of different hides (goat, horse and fallow deer) and sizes (40, 45 or 50 cm diameter), allowing you to customise the drum to your preferences.
What can you expect?
After registering for the workshop, you will choose the size of the drum and which hide will be stretched over it. You will start with a raw frame. After you’ll personal initiation you will receive your hide. This rite starts the day long making process. During the day you’ll have lunch, snacks and drinks. Once the hide has been linked to the frame you’re going to shave it in order to perfect its sound.

LEARN HOW TO HANDLE YOUR SHAMANIC DRUM
During the workshop, you will not only learn how to play the drum but also how to maintain it and, if necessary, tighten it. If you experience personal processes during the process, there is room to discuss them. It is important that the shamanic drum has a tensioning system or can be tightened for the best use and enjoyment.
Use at home
At the end of the workshop, you will go home with your own unique shamanic drum and drumstick. When using a shamanic drum for healing, meditation, trance, or as a travel drum, good resonance is important. However, a drum made of only animal hide will only sound good if it is warmed in dry weather or in another way. This is not ideal if you want to use the drum for clients or personal use. With our quick tensioning system, you can always tighten the drum for the right pitch, which benefits both the treatment and your professionalism.
